The saddest thingĀ I see…

when I talk to people about their impending foreclosure or an inability to keep up with their mortgage payments, is that they are so scared and feel so hopeless that they are paralyzed into doing nothing.

Why you should never walk away from your home. In an effort to curb the trend of people “Just walking away” from their homes, banks are starting to issue special 1099 forms to ex-homeowners with the entire debt of the mortgage loan they walked away from. With this special 1099 form the entire amount the homeowner walked away from must be settled before they “ever” are allowed to purchase a home again. In some situations a short sale is the only smart way to go.
